Violin, Viola, Piano and Theory Tuition in South East London

Nicky has worked as a private instrumental teacher for ten years, teaching violin, viola, piano and music theory.

It doesn't matter whether you are a complete beginner or if you have studied in the past and would like to make a return to lessons. Anybody can learn to play an instrument, from young children to adults. It's never too late to learn!

I am more than aware that every student is different in their personality and response to teaching. As a result, every lesson is tailored individually to the student and their needs.

The most important thing is that learning an instrument is fun. For those wishing to take examinations, Nicky can teach syllabi for both the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music as well as Trinity College of Music. However, the emphasis is firmly on learning for the student’s enjoyment, whichever path is taken.

Daytime and evening lessons are available, as are home visits.  Nicky is currently based in Nunhead, but is able to offer music lessons on a range of instruments including violin, viola, piano and music theory across South East London.

I am flexible in my arrangements and am happy to teach weekdays during the day and evenings. If you would like a weekend lesson, please feel free to contact me to discuss this. I like to fix a regular time each week but this might vary according to my performing engagements.

I have a fully up-to-date enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service, formerly CRB) Certificate.
